About the Role

As a Learning and Development Manager at the Mecsia Group, you will work with the Chief People Officer and wider Executive team to set the foundations of Learning and Development to enable our colleagues to grow

The role involves building strong relationships with the various Managing Directors and Senior Leadership Teams throughout our multiple businesses (currently 7) to introduce learning interventions to suit the needs of their colleagues and growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review our current e-learning provision and design and implement a consistent offering throughout the Group Businesses.

  • Design and support skills gap analysis of the business, identifying training interventions.

  • Designing and delivering management training (in partnership with internal ‘subject matter experts’) (face to face and remote).

  • Designing and delivering soft skills training (face to face and remote).

  • Ownership of the Apprenticeship Programme through the business- liaising with strategic partners and reviewing Apprentice progress to ensure those who are behind on milestones are identified and chasing up/supporting as necessary.

  • Design and roll out a monthly ‘toolbox talk’ cadence that is meaningful for Engineers.

Key Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • A skilled Learning and Development professional with a strong track record in the areas listed above.

  • Track record of translating concepts into successful outcomes.

  • You will demonstrate an engaging style and the ability to influence and gain buy-in from senior stakeholders.

  • Experience of facilitating training sessions face to face.

  • Experience of delivering strategy and operational needs in tandem

  • L&D experience in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience designing and delivering learning solutions across multiple sites for frontline, non-desk-based workers.

  • Excellent project management and communication skills

  • Proficient in e-learning LMS systems

Preferred:

  • Experience in FM, retail, engineering, automotive industries
