Role Overview

We are looking for an energetic M&A Analyst to lead our target sourcing . At Mecsia, we believe in continuity. You will be responsible for unlocking off-market opportunities, supporting the deal right through to completion.

Why This Role?

  • The "Hunter-Dealmaker" Model: You won’t just be a lead generator. When you uncover a viable target, you won't just hand it off—you will stay involved, gaining exposure to valuation, due diligence, and the integration planning.

  • Mentorship: You will work side-by-side with experienced M&A colleagues in evaluating,  negotiating and structuring transactions.

  • High Velocity: You will see your research turn into live deals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Origination (60%)

  • You will act as the primary originator of targets for Mecsia’s buy-and-build strategy, taking ownership of unlocking a high volume of proprietary deal flow and systematically mapping the target landscape to identify and engage off-market targets.

  • This role demands a tenacious "hunter" mindset; you will blend data-driven market mapping with creative outreach campaigns, ensuring Mecsia identifies and engages with the best regional champions before they come to market.

2. Deal Execution & Analysis (40%)

  • Commercial Assessment: You will own the initial assessment.

  • Transaction Support: As your sourced targets progress, you will assist the M&A Director in managing the deal process: coordinating the Virtual Data Room (VDR), tracking Due Diligence (DD) queries, and helping draft Investment Committee papers.

3. Pipeline Management (Continuous)

  • The "Gatekeeper": Review incoming teasers to quickly qualify or disqualify targets against our investment criteria.

  • CRM Ownership: Maintain the master M&A pipeline, ensuring that as you scale our volume of leads, no opportunity slips through the cracks.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Graduate with 1–3 years of experience in M&A, Corporate Development or M&A Recruitment role.

  • The "Hunter" Mentality: You enjoy the thrill of the chase. You are persistent and not afraid to pick up the phone.

  • Hunger to succeed: You are great at opening doors, but you also have a strong desire to learn how to close the deal. You want to understand the art of M&A.

  • Data Savvy: You are comfortable working with large datasets and CRM tools.

Skills & Traits

  • High EQ & Personability: Buying a business is personal. You have the emotional intelligence to build initial rapport with founders and act as a respectful ambassador for the Mecsia brand.

  • Commercial Curiosity: You can spot the difference between good and less-good businesses.

  • Process-Obsessed: You can manage high volumes of information without losing detail.
